DIY Bunny

I have always loved bunnies at Easter and Spring! It must have something to do with my childhood. I lived on a small farm. I was responsible for taking care of the animals each day. Bunnies and pigs where my favorites. So, I am sure this is where my love came from. You will need to disassemble the bunny from the Dollar Tree ( The bunny hanger). It comes with 3 attached together. Remove the tinsel, eyes and all. Down to just the plastic frame.

Choose the color of yarn and texture of yarn you would like first. You can even use strips of material or scraps. To secure mine I tied to the frame. Just to make sure it was not unravel. Then I weaved it in and out, and around, As you see above.

I went back and forth. Making sure to cover the frame.

Next I stopped once I got to the top of the head.

I made sure to cover each ear separately.

Then, I had some left over fur scraps from another project.  I cut these into smaller strips. I wanted to give the ears a little added cutenesses!

Next, I Gathered all my scraps that would match in color and cut them in different sizes and stacked on top of each other.

Then I Topped it off with a bow tie burlap and lace ribbon.

Next, I Secured it with pearls and tied up with a small piece of yarn.

Then I  Decided to add some white feathers to the bow. Just because I love feathers and any chance I can use them I will.

I liked the look of adding the flower over the bow. This is optional.

Also, added a few succulents. It gave it a softer chic look.

Also, I cut a small piece of white yarn. To use as the eyes.

Excuse my fingers. Just had stained a piece of wood. As you can see it was still on my finger tips. Lol Hard at work!

You will roll the yarn up into a small circle. Being careful to leave a little bit at the end. This is so that you can unravel it.To make it look like eyelashes.

Next, I put small pearls on the top of the yarn and the nose.

Finally, I Placed pearl strips as whiskers. I also added a piece of lace embellishments as the mouth. As you can see I also made my scrap bow. Which you can find one of the styles. On YouTube under Valentine Scrap Bow.

I placed her in the middle of my wreath. A Goodwill treasure find.

It matches perfectly with the other Spring DIY’s we have done this season. I am very pleased with how beautiful she is! Another DIY taken from the “Ordinary to the Extraordinary “.
