If you are looking for a DIY Dollar Tree Coffee Filter Flowers for your home or front door…..

You’re going to love this project!

When I first saw this tea cup picture at Dollar Tree, all I could think of was my mom and her collection of tea cups. My mom has collected cups through the years and from different states or tea rooms. This passion started about 10 years ago when I took her to her first tea room for brunch. It was at a local spot called “Magnolia Tea Room”. It was a beautiful atmosphere, full of lace, gorgeous furniture, porcelain tea cups and the smell of flavored aromas in the air. The ambiance was very romantic and inviting and I had a feeling she would love this tea picture I had found. I knew she would love it even more if I added my personal touches to it. That is how this DIY Dollar Tree Filter Flowers project was birthed!

Items needed are:

  • canvas of tea cup (Dollar Tree)
  • coffee filters
  • egg dye
  • glue
  • scissors
  • pipe cleaner, skewer stick, or wire

Step 1. Get a container to put food coloring in. Add 1/4 cup of water in it.

Step 2. To mix the first color, you will need 2 drops of blue, 1 drop of green and 1 drop of pink. For the Aqua color, 3 drops of blue 2 drops of green.

Step 3. I found a faster way to dry them than putting the filters in the oven. I placed on a paper towel and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes.

Step 4. You will fold the filter 3 times for large petals.

Step 5. You will fold 4 times for the inside petals. 2 inside petals and 4-8 outside petals, depending on the size of flower you want. Cut like a heart for the large petal leaves. Cut 3 humps in the small center leaves, as you see in photo.

Step 6. Then cut into four pieces for the large petals. That helps for you to build the petals on top of each other.

As I finished this DIY Dollar Tree Coffee Filter Flowers project, I added two paper roses to the canvas with a Dollar Tree succulent and greenery I already had. This would go perfect in my bathroom or to gift to my Mother for Mother’s Day!

Will have to try this. The desert sounds easy and looks yumm. I will have to try it. Maybe for 4th july. Your ham glaze is exactly how I make mine. I use a turkey baster and add glaze as it bakes with it, to make sure it covers it all. It is so good.
