DIY Fabric Pumpkin

DIY's· Uncategorized

For this DIY. You will need mixture of materials and fabrics. I just used what I had in my stash. You can also use one solid color, two different kinds or as many as you want. Like I did with mine. I am a lover of black and white( mostly buffalo check). But I know not everyone is. So, make it your own.

You will also need needle and thread. You can use gorilla glue or fabric infusion.

You will need something as as stem. Weather it is a stick from outside, candle stick, or what ever you have resources to.
Stuffing for the inside of the pumpkin. As well as raffia or ribbon to embellishing top of the pumpkin.

For the size of pumpkin I did. These are the measurements. You can do smaller or larger. Just make sure it is cut in a leaf shape.
You will sew all sides together leaving the top open. Enough to put the stuffing in. Make it as fluffy as you would like. Then pull together. Placing the stick in the middle and glue the opening shut. You will then choose your decorating embellishments. Sky’s the limit. You can use raffia, ribbon, cut up material in strips, moss, or whatever you would like.

As you can see I used an assortment of items.

The shabby chic pumpkin was a dollar tree make over. Done with a candle stick. Embellished with lace, raffia, yarn, pearls, and wood flowers. Follow the directions on the video to get the ruffles. We can all take the “Ordinary in our decorating and make it “Extraordinary”. Just get creative and think outside the box.

I cannot wait to try this one!! It’s so nice that you show us how to use ordinary items that we have on hand already – this can literally be made with any scrap fabric/shirts etc!!!
