DIY Wooden Christmas Sign

DIY's· Uncategorized

22 Nov

Here is an amazing looking, simple, DIY, you can do at home! Make these for decor, gifts, or something to do with family! Get the kids involved and make it your own!

Items needed are:

Hot glue gun

Modge podge

Wood slab-got mine at Walmart already had string to hang with.

Marker or black paint

Assorted fabric

Assorted ribbon Something to cut with circle-I used a ribbon roll bottom side

Items to embellish with-

I used jute, raffia, buttons, fabric and ribbon.

To begin:

If you have not bought an already ready to go wood slab, please ready the wood. Paint it, stain it, whatever you like! Get creative.

Next, cut circles out of your fabric. Now, they do not have to be perfect, and they do not have to be circles. You can do ovals if you wish!

I chose to use three different types of fabric I had lying around. I save scrap fabric for just this kind of project!

Next, all you need to do is glue it onto your board with modge podge or glue gun. Do you see it starting to take shape?

Before embelleshing, use black paint or a black marker and draw a string at the top of the ornament. You can absolutely use real string here and just glue it in place!

Embellish the ornament to your liking. For my embelleshments, I chose to use different kinds of ribbons and fabrics. I just cut small pieces of each and moved them around until I felt happy with what I saw. You can do the same!

That is it! You have completed this project! I hope you all had an amazing time turning the ordinary into the EXTRAORDINARY! And call it a simple DIY, That was made from Ordinary materials into a Extraordinary home decor.
