Hi my crafty friends. As you guys may know, I love beach and farmhouse decor. Therefore, I was very excited to make a beach farmhouse tray DIY. For this craft I was able to use a recycled picture frame to create the tray. I love to repurpose items, it makes for a budget friendly DIY. I also love my Magnolia Design stencils. I use them on a lot of my crafts. For todays DIY I incorporated the anchor stencil which I really love. It turned out beautifully on the farmhouse tray. As always, you can watch the video replay below, don’t forget to comment #replay on the video so we know you saw it! Now lets get into the craft, all you need is what’s listed below..

SECONDLY, LETS GET INTO MAKING THE CRAFT:
I started this DIY by taking my recycled wood picture frame and flipping it over. The back of the picture frame is shaped perfectly for a farmhouse tray. Previously in the day I drilled 2 small holes on both sides of the picture frame so I can add some nautical rope later on in the craft. Then, I stained the back of the frame. While the stain was drying, I painted the front of the frame white. I then flipped the frame back over and painted over the stain with white and yellow paint. These colors combined turned out beautifully on the stain. Finally, I began sanding the tray. This is when it started having that farmhouse look..
THIRDLY, LETS PUT THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON This Beach Farmhouse tray:
I then added jute string to both sides of the tray creating handles. After that, I glued 4 corks to the bottom of the tray for legs. Then I started the fun part of placing the stencil. I created a tie-dye look with my anchor by using navy and coral chalk. It turned out so beautifully!
