I love cloches because they are beautiful and easy to decorate with. As you may know, cloches can be quite expensive if you go to the store and purchase one. Therefore, today I will be showing you how to make a DIY Dollar Tree cloche under four dollars. The possibilities are endless with how you want to decorate your cloche. My idea today is a little chic and farmhouse. As always, you can watch the video replay below, don’t forget to comment #replay on the video so we know you saw it! FIRSTLY, LETS GET YOU A SUPPLY LIST:
- Sand Paper (Dollar Tree)
- Candle Stick (Dollar Tree)
- Mod Podge
- Paint (Dollar General)
- Cut out of Lemons (Free Print off Online)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Paint Brush
- Scissors
- Plastic Plate (Dollar Tree)
- Gorilla Glue
- Basket (Dollar Tree)
- Small Block (Dollar Tree)
- Large Farmhouse Bead (Dollar Tree)
- E6000

SECONDLY, LETS GET INTO MAKING THE CRAFT:
You will start by taking your cut outs of the lemons and using a light coverage of mod podge on the front of the image. I then turned the image over and placed it onto the plate and used another light amount of mod podge. Continuing with the cut outs, I flipped over the plate deciding how I wanted to place the lemons. For the look I was going for, I placed the biggest lemon in the middle with smaller lemons around the edges of the plate. Afterwords, I began painting my candlestick with black and used the excess paint on the back of my plate..

THIRDLY, LETS PUT THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON THIS Dollar Tree Cloche:
As shown in the video, I then went in with the white chalk paint and used a generous amount on the back of the plate. This gives it a good contrast because black is such a dominant color. I will be using this plate for decorative purposes but if you chose to use this as a serving tray you will want to make sure to seal it. Afterwords, I take the white chalk paint and began painting the candle stick, creating a rustic look. To finalize this Dollar Tree cloche, I put gorilla glue on the top of the candlestick..

FINALLY, YOU HAVE MADE A Dollar Tree Cloche:
I place the candlestick on to the middle of the plate, creating a stand. Finally, I take a small block and large farmhouse bead and paint it white. I then use gorilla glue and E600 to create a handle on top of the basket. Then you have made a beautiful Dollar Tree cloche under $4. I added decorations inside my cloche and placed it with other lemon decor. There are so many possibilities with how you can utilize and decorate your cloche.
