Today, I am recycling an old sweater to make a beautiful Christmas Ornament. Of course, I am so excited to show you how. But first, I want to remind you, there is a quick video you can watch. Make sure to click the link below to view it!

Now, let’s get a supply list!

- Hot glue gun
- Ribbon/trim
- Glitter/diamond dust
- Marker
- Scissors
- Stuffing

Firstly, recycling an old sweater, I traced a mitten out and cut it. I then, hot glued it together to form the mitten and stuffed it into the mitten. Afterwards, I simply put some winter greenery inside. This is sort of a miniature version of the oven mitt bouquets I have made, except it’s a mitten for winter!

Secondly, I made two bows that I layered on top of each other. It created this really amazing bow that I glued onto the mitten to make it shabby chic. The next way I used recycling an old sweater, was to make this poinsettia you see. To do this, I traced poinsettia leaves out and cut them from the sweater. Afterwards, I repeated a similar pattern to how I made the mitten. I glued the leaves halfway and then added stuffing. The next thing I did was add trim to the leaves to give them some definition. Finally, I added three pom-poms to the center and twisted some silver tinsel/pipe cleaner to created the stem.

Thirdly, I added a strap onto the back of the mitten to allow for hanging and put it on my tree. As you can see, I have a few other ornaments hanging here, that you also may have seen in the quick video. The blog post tutorials for these will be out soon.
