Scrap fabric has been a very popular subject over on my page as of late. Also, the subject of Mystery Boxes, which have been a huge seller on my website. Watch the video replay below!

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Scrap fabric
- Waverly wax
- Wooden stars
- Braided jute string
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Paint mix sticks
- Half circle buttons
- Hot glue gun
In the light of all of the craft subjects being a hot topic, making this scrap fabric banner was my favorite one to make. Firstly, you’ll want to make a rectangle out of your main fabric, this will be the body of your banner. Secondly, hot glue the paint mix sticks to the back of the body of the banner. Make sure to use two paint mix sticks and hot glue them to the top and bottom. While doing this, you’ll want to fold the sticks over once to the entire stick is covered. Continuing to the next step, you’ll want to take your scrap fabric and figure out where you’re going to want the scraps to hang down.

Scrap Fabric will hang down from the banner
Not only will you hot glue where your fabric hangs, but you’ll also want to hot glue your half circle buttons here. Before you hot glue your buttons, use the Waverly wax and stain them a rustic brown. Then, you can hot glue. Similarly, stain your wooden stars and figure out where you’d like to hang those once you’ve hot glued them to your thinner jute string. I chose to place mine in between my scrap fabric.

Finally, we’ll make the finishing touch to this scrap fabric banner. Using your scrap fabric and hot glue once again, create a sort of rosette. In a likewise fashion to twisting, I circled the fabric around and hot glued as I went. To top it off, I added a button to embellish. In addition to that, I took the braided jute string and created the hanger from which the banner will hang.

There you have it! A scrap fabric banner, it’s a very simple a cute DIY to make with your scrap fabric from the mystery boxes or some you have laying around the house. Stay tuned for other crafts coming soon using scrap fabric!
