Let’s Make a Fall Pillow Using Dollar Tree Materials!

DIY's· Fall· Home Decor

16 Sep

Some fall pillow prices I see are outrageous, but I’m just the gal to figure out a cheap alternative! And with it being fall, I felt it was the perfect time to do it. So, today, I have a fall pillow DIY for you all and I absolutely love it! Don’t forget you can watch the video replay below!

Firstly, let’s get a supply list.

You will need:

  • Hot glue gun
  • Bath mat and placemat
  • Ribbon
  • Hot glue rubber
  • Scissors
  • Jute string

Firstly, you’ll want to hot glue the sides of the placemat and bath mat. Make sure you leave an opening on one side because you are going to need to insert your stuffing next. Then, you can make the decision on whether or not you’re going to leave the excess outside or trim it off. Afterward, you can choose whether or not you want to add extras to the outside. I decided to leave the outside as is because I felt that it fit with the design. Also, once you’ve made these choices you can insert your stuffing and close up that side.

Lastly, you have your beautiful (and cheap) fall pillow to add to your decor! I adore this craft and hope you’ll enjoy making yourself one just as much. Of course, you can make a variety of designs because there are plenty of placemats in the store! Also, if you find different bath mats that you’d like, maybe ones that are softer, you can do that too! And of course, you can make a more traditional pillow with fabric! That’s the fun in crafting, you can make whatever you feel! Don’t forget to check out the blog for more DIYs like this one, and follow along on social media!

Oh I love the pillow Talisa! My husband bleeds blue! Lol. Our business is New Holland tractors and they are blue! I’d love to find a couple of these placemats. Our DT is not the best.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us!
